PLEASE READ THIS BIO ALL THE WAY THROUGH TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE A MATCH FOR FRED! This fabulous dog is Fred. He came to our shelter because his owner did not have time for him so we encouraged him to surrender Fred. His owner did, however, do a great job of training him so he is happily obedient and compliant. He is in the top 5 of the good dogs that have made their way to our wonderful shelter. Fred will be getting neuter tomorrow (10/2) and, as soon as he heals, he will be ready to move on to his new home. We are looking for a young retiree(s) who have the energy to keep up with Fred and who would love to spend a great time with him on outdoor adventures. Fred LOVES to go on sniffaries and we make sure he gets at least one hour-long walk a day (preferably 2!) and you must be willing to do that, too. Fred is also a ball obsessed nutter and will play endlessly with you. We prefer to place Fred in a home with a fenced-in yard but, in the right situation, we may make an exception to that. Fred is also very friendly with other dogs unless they are overbearing and bossy or unneutered, then he is not so friendly with them. He definitely prefers the company of female dogs and will play with them until he drops. Fred is the perfect size at 40LBS so he won’t take up your whole house. And he’s adorable!!
