Fred came to Almost Home Foster & Rescue after he was pulled from a shelter in the Seminole County Animal Shelter in Oklahoma. Fred and his fur-sister, Wilma were surrendered to the facility by family members when their human momma had passed. Grrrr....we know. This particular facility has a three day hold for rescues and adopters to pull or adopt before they are euthanized. Fred and Wilma (will be posted upon her arrival) were pulled the day they were scheduled to be euthanized.
Fred is approximately 18 months in age. He is a 12# Chocolate and Tan Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, aka Chiweenie. Fred is fully vetted and ready for his furever home and family.
Fred is looking for a home where one Pet Parent that is a stay-at-home parent, or one which works from home; a family that can help Fred acclimate to his new surroundings and environment with compassion, love, and patience. Please allow 6-8 weeks for Fred to acclimate to the drastic changes in his life.
As a general rule, we state that none of our fosters are house-trained. We realize that changes in routine and environment causes stress and can lead to accidents. Fred is doing really well at potty-training. He loves the outdoors and loves his leash walks.
Meet and greets are scheduled upon approved, completed application. If interested in Fred, adoption applications can be filled out and submitted on our website: almosthomefoster.com
