Freesia

Freesia was rescued along with her three siblings and mom after being abandoned when her family moved from their home in Bucerias. She's an incredibly social and sweet puppy, currently weighing 26 lbs (12 kg) as of mid-October, about the same size as her mom. Her father's size is unknown, so her full-grown size is hard to predict. Freesia is playful and loves attention. She’s the last of her litter at the shelter and is looking for her forever home. We use Petfinder to reach a greater audience for our dogs and adopt the majority of our dogs to the US and Canada. The first step is to submit an application on our website here: https://www.adogsnewlife.org/adopt Please only apply if you are ready to adopt. Once we receive your application, we will review it and may contact you for more information or to conduct a home check. If your application is approved, we collaborate with flight companions (flight angels) flying from Puerto Vallarta to destinations close to where the dog is posted as available for adoption. Adopters can meet these flight angels at the airport and take the pup home. (More detailed information about this process is available upon request.) Before requesting adoption fees or the signing of the adoption contract, we give adopters a few days to a week to spend time with their new pup. If, for some reason, things were not to work out, we kindly ask that the adopters foster the dog until we find a suitable home for them. A few notes about our pups: - Most of our shelter dogs are accustomed to being outside and free-roaming, unless otherwise stated. Some may have been in homes before and could be potty trained, but in a new environment, they would need easy access to the outside and be re-acclimated to their designated potty area. We cannot guarantee a pup is potty trained unless they are with a foster or surrendered to us with noted training. - We can send more videos/pictures of our dogs. More than likely, they'll have friends in the background. Unfortunately, we cannot do live videos at our shelter. - Our dogs are given de-wormer, tested negative for heartworm (unless otherwise noted), are up to date on required vaccines for travel, and receive regular flea and tick treatment. They have also been evaluated by our vet, who has provided any necessary medical care upon rescue. -Last, but not least, we LOVE our dogs, and we hope you do too.
