My Story

Friend Bear, what can I say that his name doesn't sum up for you?! He is a doll; he's everything you'd ever hope/wish your rescue dog to be, and more! With personality in mind, Bear is the lover of the pack, he likes to be loved on, petted on, cuddled on, and doesn't mind a thing when you're giving him some good old fashioned belly rubs! He is gentle by nature, and laid-back fashioned even when he's so excited he can't help but wiggle his butt! Friend Bear isn't just a friend to people, he's a friend to other dogs, cats, you name it, he is as friendly as can be! Plus, weighing in at about 50 pounds; he's a perfect size! Friend Bear spent about 2 months in a foster home before making his way to us, and we can agree that he's one of a kind! Friend Bear is house-trained, crate-trained, has learned his basic commands, and is working on more! He walks super well on leash, AND enjoys dog-friendly restaurants! My adoption fee is only $210! This fee covers all of my vaccines, microchip, nex/heartguard, heartworm test, AND my spay/neuter! Think I might be the perfect fit for your home? You can apply for me here https://animalwelfarefriends.org/adopt/application/ OR you can apply in person when you come visit me any day during business hours! You can even adopt me that same day once approved!! Please Note: All adoptions are on a first-come first served basis with approved adoption applicants. We do not hold animals unless the adoption is out-of-state, and fees apply. The animal's welfare is our first and only priority, in doing so, they are moved from the shelter into their respective homes as quickly, & humanely as possible to remove the risk of undergoing extreme stress, immune system compromission, & behavioral concerns. DISCLAIMER: Genetic Breed accuracy is NOT guaranteed; we assess by the following: Interview with or paperwork from with the previous owner Intake evaluation observations (behavior, physical appearance, and energy level) Source documents from which to analyze characteristics Consultation with other staff
