My Story

Meet Gale! This beautiful 4ish year old sweetheart has been waiting for her forever family since arriving at the shelter in October. Gale is an incredibly smart and eager-to-please pup who already knows how to sit and come when called. She's highly motivated by treats and toys, making her a quick learner. Gale is also dog and cat friendly-she gets along well with other dogs and showed no aggression when meeting a cat through a gate. If you have a dog at home, it'd be best if they had a playful and tolerant play style as Gale sometimes likes to wrestle! One of Gale's standout qualities is her beautiful leash manners. She walks calmly and happily, making her a joy to take on walks. She is also crate trained, sleeping peacefully in her crate both overnight and while her family is away. Gale is a great car rider as well-she hops into the car eagerly and rides calmly, ready for whatever adventure comes next. With her sweet and calm demeanor, Gale is content to lay by her human and enjoy quiet moments of affection. She truly enjoys snuggling and it's one of her favorite past times! While she is still learning some manners, like not jumping on people or counters, she is easily redirected and is making great progress every day. Gale would be an incredible addition to any home. With her loving nature, intelligence, and sweet spirit, she is ready to bring so much joy to her forever family. Whoever adopts her will be truly lucky to welcome such a wonderful companion into their life. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
