My Story

Dog's Name: Gayle (GAY1224OWSFS) Estimated Breed: Collie MIX Approximate Age: 2-3 years Approximate Weight: 40 lbs Currently Living at: Boarding Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi, I'm Gayle! I am a very smart gal, full of energy and enthusiasm for life and a good play session. Not only am I friendly with dogs, I absolutely love people and attention. I know my name and some basic commands, and I am very food motivated, so training is a fun play session for me, as I will be all ears (and nose) looking to please you! I could use some leash training as I am a very enthusiastic walker, and a bit strong, but I am learning the basics. I love children too, but I am prone to jumping up on people to give them hugs and love, so I might unintentionally knock over a little one. So, I do need encouragement to keep four on the floor. I will need an active home, preferably with a fenced back yard, but I also like to cuddle, and I promise to bring joy, laughter, and an endless supply of love into your life. Adopt me, and let's create wonderful memories together! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
