My Story

COMING SOON!! Age: 5-6 months old Weight- 40lbs Breed guess- Pyrenees/ Aussie? MEET GEDDY! ( He's a big RUSH fan?) This gorgeous guy had a rough start. He was born in a place with no one who cared and after he and his littermates sought help at the neighbors, he ended up chained up and unsocialized by the time he was just a few months old. His future looked bleek until a wonderful rescuer and transporter got he and his littermates to safety. Initially terrified of everyone and everything, Geddy is making amazing progress learning the ways of the pampered house dog. In just a few days,he followed his foster pack's lead and potty trained himself. He sleeps like a champ in his crate at night and bravely met new furry friends in doggy daycare. He is also learning not every human equals something scary and snuggles are great! And snuggles are great for us too because Geddy has the SOFTEST fur ever! Geddy still has lots to learn about the world but the hope is this smart guy will be ready to meet his new family in about a month or so. Geddy will require a fenced yard and definitely at least one confident, playful dog in his forever home to show him the ropes. This unique and handsome boy won't be available for long once he's ready, so if you think you could be the stable and patient home he needs, sent that application in to soardogs.org!! Adoption donation required. This covers altering, DAP series vaccinations to date of adoption, Bordetella Vaccination, Rabies vaccination if over four months, Microchip, Deworming, heartworm test (if over 8 months), monthly flea/heartworm prevention to date, grooming, full veterinary examination, and temperament evaluation. All SOAR dogs go through a ten-day quarantine period to ensure they are healthy, before being adopted. We do not operate on a first come first serve basis, but screen applicants in order to find the best fit for our adoptable dogs.
