My Story
Meet Gemini – Your Future Couch King with a Side of Sass!
Are you looking for a dog who embodies the perfect mix of chill and spontaneous bursts of energy? Do you need a best friend who will watch your favorite TV shows while occasionally judging your choices with his ridiculously expressive face? Then, let us introduce Gemini, the 80-pound English Bulldog with a heart of gold, a love for the simple things in life, and a personal philosophy that can be summed up as: “My space, my rules… but also, I love you.”
At around 4 years old, Gemini has mastered the fine art of leisurely living—taking short walks, enjoying the great outdoors (in very small doses), and then promptly returning to his rightful place: his bed. He enjoys a good stroll through the yard, sniffing the grass like a true nature enthusiast before settling down to do what he does best—window watching like a nosy neighbor.
The Gemini Experience
• Personality: Friendly, loving, and independent. Think of him as the perfect roommate—he enjoys company but also appreciates his alone time.
• Energy Level: A solid mix of “let’s go on an adventure!” and “okay, that’s enough, time for a nap.”
• People Skills: A little wary at first, but once he trusts you, he’s all in (on his terms, of course).
• Other Dogs: He’s a social butterfly in moderation—ideally, he’d have a dog buddy of similar size and energy to lounge and vibe with.
• House Manners: House-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and has yet to admit whether he knows any tricks (we suspect he does but enjoys keeping us guessing).
Special Notes:
• Medical Needs? Yes, Gemini is on a prescription diet to manage bladder stones, and will need yearly check-ups to ensure they don't return. He had his cherry eyes surgically corrected and that is now resolved. But hey, who doesn’t have something these days?
• Grooming? He’s a “wash and go” kind of guy—low maintenance and always stylish.
• Favorite Pastimes? Chewing on his nylabone, playing with stuffed animals, and keeping an eye on the world outside.
• Biggest Quirk? His super expressive face that tells you everything he’s thinking (even if you didn’t ask).
• Best Part of Fostering Him? Watching him feel safe, healthy, and loved—he deserves nothing less.
Ideal Home for Gemini:
Gemini is looking for a quiet, stable home where he can have his own space but still enjoy companionship. He doesn’t require a fenced in yard, but he sure loves wandering around in one! If you’re the kind of person who appreciates a dog that’s both sweet and independent, who will love you dearly but also politely request alone time, Gemini might just be your perfect match.
