Gertrude

Meet sweet Gertrude. We’re not exactly sure how many candles are on her birthday cake, but let’s just say she’s got some wisdom behind those adorable eyes. Rescued from a cruelty case where conditions were less than ideal (think less “spa day” and more “nope”), she’s now living the good life- happy and safe! Gertrude is dainty and delicate, so she’s looking for an all-adult home where she can truly shine without the chaos of tiny humans. We’re currently vetting her and will keep you updated on her health status. Gertrude walks well, prances around, and loves to eat! We haven't noticed anything major looking at her other than being on the skinny side. Oh, and she’s toothless, which means her little tongue often pops out to say hello which makes her that much cuter. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications! 2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better. 3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.) 4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees!
