My Story

Gia came to Small Miracles with 3 of her newborn puppies and was the best mama. It's time for this perfect-sized pup (she's only 30lbs) to find her forever family to get loved on. She is the definition of cuddle bug. Gia just wants to be where you are, preferably snuggled up to you. After a day or so of her getting acclimated, you will forever have a shadow shaped in a best friend. She does come with a little anxiety (but who doesn't) that can be relieved with pets and reassurance. Gia is house-trained, leash trained, and even brings the toy back when playing fetch! Her fosters have let her have free reign of the house when leaving, and not one accident or anything chewed. Sweet girl does have a prey drive so she needs a house without cats and would do best in a home with kids 10 or older (small children frighten her). She's been indifferent with her foster's submissive male dog, but hasn't gotten along with other females. Will you be her new best friend? Gia is 5 yrs old and 32# YOU MUST SUBMIT AN APPLICATION ONLINE: PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW. HOW TO ADOPT: THIS DOG IS NOT in the shelter, and you MUST submit an application to [email protected] to get the process started. Go to: www.smallmiraclesrescue.org and click "How to Adopt". There you will find the dog/puppy application available for download. The more information you provide, the faster the process is for all of us. Once you are approved to adopt we will schedule an appointment to see the puppy in person and you will be allowed to take it home that day. DUE TO THE EASE OF OUR ADOPTION PROCESS, PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT RIGHT NOW AND ARE COMMITTED TO THE LEVEL OF CARE A PUPPY REQUIRES. IF YOU ARE NOT READY TO ADOPT, we totally understand - just wait to apply until you are ready. Our puppies are typically placed less than 72 hours after the application is submitted (ex: an application submitted on a Thurs could be approved and the dog sent home as early as Saturday). Make sure to note in the email subject line which puppy you are interested in. I will take back up applications for every puppy in the event an adoption falls through. Adoption Fee Broken Down: Before our puppies are available for adoption, they will always be spayed or neutered, vaccinated (Distemper, Bordetella, Rabies if age appropriate), dewormed, and stool sample checked for parasites. Adoption fee for our puppies is $375, an additional $30 for a microchip and registration and an additional small discounted amount for a 6 month supply of heartworm preventative, priced at $50, for a TOTAL of $455.
