Super affectionate, Super playful, and always playing the clown! The more you laugh at him, the more he clowns around! He is a goofy pup for sure, and is always into something! His energy level can range. He’s a 10 when you first meet him, and then he regulates back to about a 6. He has a good chill too (down to 4), and always so happy! GIBBS loves the water! He is a huge water dog. He plays in his little swimming pool a lot. He runs almost everywhere he goes, and is always down for a snuggle or wrestling match depending on his mood. This boy enjoys playing fetch and plays with joyful frenzy when he’s got a squeaker. He does pull a little on a leash because he gets so excited going out for walks, but has the best personality ever! In full transparency he isn’t the most gentle on the planet (unless you are a puppy or smaller dog because he is super gentle with them). However, this boy is super happy and enjoys every second living life to the fullest, and could definitely benefit from some solid training to manage his exuberance. Additionally, MR GIBBS is fantastic with other dogs and kiddos! In terms of other dogs, he tends to be gentle with the smaller dogs, and likes to rough house with the bigger ones. He does not fight and would never hurt a fly (or even defend himself even if you are that mean chihuahua trying to start something)! This kiddo is much calmer when he is on his own, and can be “a lot” of energy when grouped with a lot of other pups. And with a lot of other pups, he tends to go into attention hog mode, so a home where he is the only dog, with social activities & play dates with other pups…. or a home with smaller pups who bring out his gentler side, would be fantastic for him. When it comes to kids, GIBBS absolutely adores kids! He probably isn’t the best to be around little ones only because of his excitement and possibly knocking them down. And we don’t know how he might be with cats as he has never been cat tested. Overall, GIBBS is a really good boy. He is super affectionate, and will not hesitate to lavish you with unlimited kisses any chance he gets! He does not have any storm or separation anxiety, and would do best with someone who can enjoy his energy and be willing to do some basic training with him.
