My Story

Hello! Meet Gilly. She is a 7-year-old, female Wirehaired Chihuahua mix weighing about 8 lbs. Gilley has been learning how to be a pampered puppy while waiting for her forever family. She is not familiar with a home so she is learning about the sounds and equipment typical of a home. She dislikes anyone with a hood/hat. She is also uncertain about brooms, bats, and mops. She can be a bit nervous meeting people she does not know, but she will come around with a calm introduction. Gilly is making wonderful progress, all with the wonderful encouragement of her foster family. Gilly loves toys and has been stealing whatever she can get ahold of! She is learning fingers, ears, toes, noses and hair are not for chewing. Walking on a leash is new to her but she is making progress with short distances to start. She likes to be held especially when uncertain about her surroundings. She prefers a calm environment. She likes having another dog around but one more her size or slightly bigger. She has been learning to get her energy out by running laps around the yard! Gilly is a speed machine! She has really been enjoying playing with the foster's dog. She really has such a fun and spunky little personality! She provides endless entertainment and snuggles. She is so sweet and just wants to be loved. She would love a forever home to continue working with her on building her confidence and making her the best she can be! Complete an adoption application to meet Gilly. She is based out of West Bloomfield, Michigan. To complete an adoption application, go to: http://almosthomeanimals.org/applications/adoption/
