My Story

Ginger is a 2 year old, 40 lb. Australian Shepherd mix. Ginger is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet and just waiting for all your love! She is a smart Aussie with a submissive nature, looking for a gentle home that can fill her life with soft pets and belly rubs. After a rough start to life, this beautiful girl is just starting to learn how kind the world can be; with each day she reaches a new level of comfort and reveals even more of her affectionate nature! She can be a little shy at first, but if you go slow, she is worth the wait! Ginger is a clever girl who catches on quickly to a routine and loves her daily walks. Ginger would do best in a home with someone who is regularly around, as she gets anxious when left alone too long. She has been allowed to free roam in her foster's home, and never demonstrated any destructive tendencies, but paces anxiously while waiting for your return. When settled with her people she is quiet and attentive and loves to snuggle up on the couch with you! She is quite the cuddle bug and adores being around her humans! She loves playing with the resident dog in her foster home and would happily welcome a doggie sibling to run around the yard with in her forever home too! She even gets along with the cat in her foster home. After only a short time, Ginger has learned potty training, crate training, and leash training and can't wait to learn more - like a typical Aussie, her brain loves to work! Ginger would do best in a home with a secured/fenced yard where she can safely run and play. If you are ready for a loving, devoted sweetheart - apply to meet Ginger today!
