My Story

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/gener. You can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/. Dog's Name: Gizzy (aka Gizmo) (GIZ1024TAZMD) Estimated Breed: Chihuahua MIX Approximate Age: 4-5 years Approximate Weight: 9 lbs Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Calling all you Chihuahua lovers! Gizzy is the guy to meet. This adorable little man was surrendered because his owner passed away. He needs a new forever home with someone who will understand his loss and give him a second chance to have a loving forever home. Gizzy is a friendly fella, good with other dogs and even cats. He deserves a loving home and he is hoping he'll be lucky enough to find one again. Fill out an application today and please consider opening your heart and home to Gizzy. He can't wait to meet you! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
