MEET GRACE! Hi there! My name is Grace and I'm a 7 year old Yorkshire Terrier. I weigh just 5 pounds and I used to live in a breeder's house where I was used for breeding. Despite my past, I did well living with many other small dogs and really enjoyed their company. I must admit, I can be a little shy at first and it takes some time for me to warm up to new people. However, once I feel comfortable, I am a loving and loyal companion. I would bond best with a woman, and may do even better in an adult-only and female-only household. I do well with small dogs (large dogs intimate me) and get along with cats too. I would do well with a dog-sibling to help me adjust properly as I find comfort with other small dogs. Ideally, I would love a home without too much commotion or a fast-paced lifestyle. I require a lot of patience and understanding, so a calm home environment would be perfect for me. A fenced yard is a must-have for me as I am not comfortable on a leash. I've done well using potty pads, especially during this frigid weather. I also need grooming every 6 weeks to keep my coat from getting matted. I will require a patient family willing to continue my training and work with me on leash training as well. Overall, I'm just searching for my forever peraon who will provide me with a calm and loving home.
