My Story
COURTESY LISTINGThis dog is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) but we will be reviewing applications and helping the owner find the right home for GRACIE. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply.
Looking for a furry best friend who is as loving as she is loyal? Meet Gracie, a 3-year-old Mastiff mix with a big heart and an even bigger desire to please. Weighing in at 105 pounds, don't let her size fool you - she's a true cuddlebug and the ultimate snuggle buddy. Gracie is the definition of a gentle giant, and she's ready to find her forever family! Gracie is a medium-energy gal who's always up for trying new things and meeting new people. While she might be a bit shy at first, with just a little encouragement, she'll happily embrace new adventures. Her favorite thing in the world is being with her humans - if you're happy, she's happy. She thrives on love and attention and will always be by your side to cheer you up, whether you're out for a run or just lounging on the couch. This smart lady already knows how to sit, shake, and come when called, and she's eager to learn more to make her family proud. Gracie is completely house-trained and will politely let you know when it's time to go outside. She's also comfortable in a crate if needed, but she's so well-behaved that she doesn't require one often. Gracie absolutely
loves
her walks and runs - staying active with her humans is her favorite way to spend the day. She's fantastic on a leash, matching your pace perfectly without pulling or dragging. And when it's time for a car ride, Gracie is a "front seat lady" who's happy to join you for the journey, whether the windows are down or not. Gracie is no stranger to making friends. She's interacted with dogs, cats, livestock, children, and strangers, and she's shown no aggression toward anyone. While she may need a little time to adjust to new companions, she quickly warms up and fits right in. Though Gracie is a confident and adaptable girl, she does have a sensitive side. She's shy with unfamiliar things but faces them with courage and trust in her humans. She also has some allergies that may cause her skin to itch in the summer, but they're easily manageable with proper care. Gracie's ideal home is one where she can share her life with a family that loves her as much as she loves them. Whether you have other pets, children (who can handle her size), or just a cozy spot on the couch, Gracie will make herself right at home. Gracie isn't just any dog - she's a
once-in-a-lifetime
kind of companion. Her size may be big, but her heart is even bigger. Get ready to fall in love, because once you meet Gracie, she'll take over your heart (and maybe your couch) in no time. Are you ready to give Gracie the loving home she deserves? She's waiting to meet you!

Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
