My Story

Hi, my name is Gustavia Wolfshadow. I am from Arkansas. "For anyone that has sang the old nursery rhyme of "how much is that doggie in the window, the one with the waggly tail", I am that puppy. My tail wags non-stop, my cuteness will melt your heart, and you will quickly feel how much I love you. In spite of my traumatic start, I've been making up for lost time in learning how to be a puppy. I enjoy playing with toys, chewing on bones. When am tired out from playing, I love to cuddle up with my person on the couch and watch tv and movies. I'm kennel trained and sleep in it overnight really well. I am doing great with potty training on a consistent schedule, and showing cues when I need to go! I'm good with other dogs and like companionship, but I'm totally fine being the only dog. I do really well with cats and pretty much leave them alone for the most part after I investigate their smells. I've met older kids and had some exposure to younger kids at age of 6 where we played well. From the foster: Stavia is looking for a special forever home that has lots of love to give and will not be discouraged with the possibility of needing some special care and consistency. As she has experienced a stable environment the more she shows what she is capable of. Stavia has not had a seizure since 12/21 and she continues to get stronger everyday. Her vision may not be 100%, but she sees well enough for being on furniture by herself, navigating stairs, running around inside and outside, keeping up with your feet as she follows you around the house, and making sure she explores every nook and cranny so she can share the treasures she found. From the vet team: I arrived at The Bond Between after receiving a traumatic injury to my head. My future adopters should know that I have some visual impairment but I am not fully blind. I also experience intermittent focal seizures and teeth grinding. No medication is required with a majority of focal seizures however, if they ever turn into Full Grand Mal seizures, my adopter would need to consult a veterinarian for treatment. Luckily, I have only been improving while in my foster home and there are currently no further recommendations for this at this time."
