Harker

Harker is RIDICULOUS. We've never met a hippo this sweet! She'll just lay there smiling while you smoosh her face, belly up, and fall asleep... snoring like a baby. Love pours out of her for every living thing... people, dogs, cats, birds, we suspect she could even love a cockroach. She's especially gentle and sweet with children. Harker is 10 years old and a small but dense 45 lbs. She was rescued from a hoarding situation in Texas, having lived in squalor all her life with multiple dogs, cats, and kids. Perhaps her hard life made her the way she is now - mild-mannered, unflappable, kind. Harker is fostered in Brooklyn and is available for adoption anywhere in the US as long as the adopter is willing and able to travel to NYC to meet and adopt her.
