My Story

Breed: Miniature Schnauzer Gender: male Approximate Age: 3 years Approximate Weight: 21 pounds Color: salt and pepper Ear Type: natural Tail Type: docked Harper’s champion is Deb. If you meet the requirements for his permanent home and have questions that are not answered on our website after you have submitted an adoption application, please contact her at [email protected]. If you are looking for a new pup, Harper is your boy! Harper is a 3 year old, Schnauzer mix (probably with poodle, since his hair gets curly when it grows), who LOVES his people. He has a bit of separation anxiety and will bark for a little bit when left alone but he settles down and hopefully, when he is comfortable in his new home, that will lessen. Also, he is on some inexpensive meds to lessen his anxiety. He loves taking walks, sniffing around a yard and cuddling. He has an extra small left eye and we're not sure how much, if any sight he has but that doesn't hold him back! Harper likes meeting dogs on his walks but is particular about them in his home so he would do best as an only dog. We are looking for someone who is home a lot, no other animals in the house, fenced yard and especially who has a lot of love to give! Prior to placement, all dogs are spayed/neutered, brought up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, dewormed, and microchipped. Dogs also receive a dental cleaning, if needed, and are bathed/groomed before adoption. If you are interested in adopting this dog, you must first complete our adoption application, which is available on our website at www.njsrn.org (click on the Adopt tab). Please be sure to include the dog’s name in the questions/comments section of the application. Answers to questions about NJSRN, our process for matching dogs to their permanent homes, and our guidelines for adoption donations can also be found on our website. Sorry, no shipping, but NJSRN can help with local area transport throughout most of the northeast. If you have questions that are not answered on our website after you have submitted an adoption application, please contact the NJSRN champion listed above. NJSRN covers NJ, PA, NY, CT, MD, DE, and surrounding states, and we will help any Miniature Schnauzer in need, regardless of age or health status. We are all volunteers and NJSRN always needs foster homes, transport assistance, and donations. If you would like to contribute to our rescue program, you can easily make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal at www.njsrn.org. Or, if you prefer, you can mail a check (made payable to NJSRN) to: New Jersey Schnauzer Rescue Network Inc., PO Box 36, Fanwood, NJ 07023. Thank you! NJSRN is a federally registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization.
