Estimated to be around two years old, Harvey was sadly abandoned and left to fend for himself for months. Despite his rough past, he remains resilient, loyal, and full of affection. Harvey gets along well with other dogs—he currently lives with two female pups—and seems unbothered by cats when he encounters them on walks. He has also done well around a toddler in a home setting and was often seen spending time with kids and teens in the neighborhood while he was on his own. Some of Harvey’s favorite things include relaxing and napping, daily walks, and simply being near his people. He thrives in a cozy indoor environment and isn’t a fan of farm work or snowy weather. While he is heartworm positive, he is undergoing treatment and on the road to recovery. He can be mildly skittish with sudden loud noises but handles everyday household sounds like vacuums and music just fine. During fireworks or unexpected clatters, he may seek comfort from his person. Harvey has endured so much—from being dumped and injured to surviving on his own—but through it all, he remains a loving and gentle soul just looking for a place to call home.
