Photos just don’t do this sweet angel justice. This stunning girl, now known as Hazel, was simply known as 56608909 at FWACC. She was a 3-4 month old stray, in bad shape, picked up by animal control. She was missing part of her foot, covered in hundreds of ticks, and was skin & bones. Volunteers and staff quickly fell desperately in love with her. No one could get over how affectionate she was. They pleaded for her to be given a chance and place to heal. When we saw their notes and her face, we couldn’t help but snatch her up. Best decision ever. She is such an easy puppy with the sweetest disposition. Hazel appears to be a true Staffordshire Terrier, being that she is the most affectionate and cuddliest of them all. If she can find a way to be near you, she will. If you’re looking for more of a velcro dog that will be your shadow, I think you’ve found her. She’s also developed uniquely great relationships with every single person in the family. It’s been so cool to watch. Hazel is doing really well learning to ignore cats. She LOVES children and other dogs. She currently has 4 foster siblings, all bullies. She hits it off with everyone. We have a 5 year old son and 12 year old daughter and she is a dream with them both. This darling girl’s energy level is right in the middle. She loves to play but appreciates nothing more than a good, long nap. She is super intelligent and a quick study. She is almost completely potty trained and is catching onto new tricks. She is also crate trained. She is missing 4 toes on her back left foot but that doesn’t bother or slow her down in the least. Miss Hazel has impressed us all. This one here… She’s EASY TO LOVE. (As of 9.1.24, her estimated age is 4 months and she is located in a foster home in Texas.) OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR COLORADO BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Colorado. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc.). Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of departure.
