My Story

Sweet girl Hazelnut is looking for her new family, and she's hoping it's you! This pretty girl was brought to us on a transport from a high-intake shelter with her sister when they were both just babies. Hazelnut was adopted, but recently surrendered because this big girl can be a little clumsy! She loves kids but silly Hazelnut doesn't realize how big she is, and she can be a fireball sometimes! A home with older kids might be better for this adventurous girl. Hazelnut is very smart, extremely gentle and sweet. She loves to give hugs and kisses, and even cuddle in your lap. Sit and walking on a leash are a piece of cake for this southern girl, and she is excited to show you what else she is capable of learning! If you need a little bit of excitement and sweetness added to your life, check out Hazelnut! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
