Meet Henry, a 6-year-old brindle Great Dane with a heart as big as his 135-pound frame! Henry is the perfect combination of goofy, gentle, and loving. Completely house-trained, he's an easygoing guy who's ready to bring joy and laughter to his forever home. Henry loves to snuggle, nap, and bask in the attention of his humans. When he wants affection, he's not shy--he'll put his head in your lap or lean his body against you to make sure he gets his pets! Henry adores kids and has lived with children under 10, including a toddler, whom he tolerates wonderfully even when they're loud or in his space. He's also cat-friendly and completely uninterested in chasing or pestering them. Around other dogs, he's playful and respectful, though he does bark at neighbor dogs or people passing by outside. Inside the home, his barking is minimal--just a quick alert at the doorbell before settling back down. This big guy thrives in a home with a large fenced yard where he can safely gallop and race along the fence line with neighbor dogs. Henry enjoys short daily walks and outdoor play but is equally content lounging around the house. He's not a huge fan of car rides and isn't particularly food or toy motivated, but his favorite activity is simply being with his people. While he can handle being left alone, Henry is a social dog who would prefer a family that can spend lots of time with him. Henry is a well-adjusted and loving companion who's perfect for a family or individual seeking a gentle giant to share their lives with. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional's recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal's history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
