My Story
Meet Henry, a lovable and slightly chubby yellow lab boy who is looking for his second forever home. Henry is a total charmer and will win your heart, whether you're a big or small human! He thrives with someone who is home a lot and can dedicate time to him.
A fenced yard is a must for Henry, as leash walks aren't his favorite. He's much happier having space to roam and explore.
Henry does best as the only dog in the household. Unfortunately, he's not a fan of cats or rabbits--he may mouth them, but we think he stops once he realizes they're not for snacking. To be safe, we recommend no other small animals in the home.
His current family loves him dearly, but they're at a crossroads in life, and Henry needs to find a new home that's better suited to his needs. Henry would do best with a fenced yard--ideally 6 feet high--to allow him to enjoy his outdoor adventures. A small apartment isn't the right fit for this big boy.
This will be a big transition for Henry, as he adores his little humans and will miss them deeply. However, he's great with kids and is happy to relax in the yard with them. He also loves off-leash walks, especially in the woods, once familiar with the area and his new person.
Henry is an anxious dog currently on Clomicalm, an antianxiety medication and it helps him greatly - we feel it essential he remain on this medication until you can review with your veterinarian and most definitely in the initial post-adoption period.
Henry could be the perfect fit for you if you're looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will appreciate all the time and attention you give him. Let's help him find his new forever home!
