Found as a stray in Houston, Hera was discovered keeping her 8 puppies safe in a little den she dug on the side of a hill. Her instinct to protect her babies is unmatched, and her love for them shines through every moment. Though she's a petite 37 lbs, don't let her size fool youHera has a huge heart. Read below for more information. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). A transport fee is not necessary if adopter is able to pick up Hera. This adoption fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, microchip (additional $12.99 registration fee required at time of adoption), fecal analysis, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. Hera will need to be spayed because she recently had babies. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
