My Story

Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, November 16th, 2024 at the Warren County Career Center from 11am - 3pm! Meet Holly. Holly is an adorable puppy from the Christmas litter. She has two brothers, Joel and Claus, and two sisters, Angel and Gloria. The Christmas litter is a lively group of 3.5-month-old Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua mixes. They are spunky and active. They are expected to be small dogs when fully grown. They are a surprisingly quiet litter. While in foster care, the only time they have barked is outside when startled by a person or animal. They have been around dogs, men, women, and children, and have done well with all of them. If you have small children, extra supervision may be necessary for a while until they get past their nipping phase of puppyhood. As a litter, they are high energy and compete for their foster mom's attention. But individually they are very different and a great deal calmer when not with their siblings. Holly weighs in at about 8 pounds. She resembles the Yorkie side of her parents more so than her littermates. She is just adorable with her scruffy little face and legs. Holly is a little more laid back than her siblings but is still always up for a romp around the yard with them. When she's not doing that, she likes to stay close to her foster mom. If you think that you are the right person/family to give Holly the forever home she deserves, please apply today. She would be a wonderful addition to most families. Holly is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Her adoption fee is $400.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
