Meet Homer, a resilient and loving 10-month-old pup weighing in at around 50 pounds. He is a mix of lab/shepherd and pit bull terrier most likely. This sweet boy's life took a dramatic turn when he was found abandoned in an empty house with no electricity. He was battling both distemper and mange, a truly heartbreaking situation. Thankfully, with dedicated care and treatment, Homer has made a remarkable recovery! While distemper left its mark, causing a slight neurological tremor in his leg and shoulder, Homer doesn't let it slow him down. In fact, these little quirks add to his unique charm! He's a playful pup who loves his toys, though he still needs a little guidance in differentiating them from shoes (a common canine conundrum!). Homer is currently learning to potty train in his foster home and is crate-trained. He loves to go for walks and play with his other furry friends of any size. Despite his challenging past, Homer is a loving and affectionate dog looking for a forever home filled with love and patience. PFR ADOPTION FEE: $500 (includes transport) All directly adopted dogs come vaccinated, microchipped, spayed / neutered, if 6 months or older require a negative heartworm test, and up to date on flea & tick preventative and heartworm preventative if applicable.
