My Story

Honey 50 pounds Kid Friendly No Cats Meet Honey! This sweet girl was rescued from the cold at just around 1 year old, starving and with severely inflamed skin. She was possibly pregnant but turned out to have just weaned a litter of pups. After being rushed to our vet, she was spayed and began her recovery from a bacterial skin infection. Honey’s journey to health is a testament to her resilience, and she’s now thriving in her foster home. Despite her rough start, Honey’s true personality has really shined through. She’s a playful, high-energy dog who loves her humans—especially her human siblings! When her foster dad comes to take her out, she greets him with excited jumps and flips. Honey loves brisk walks, tug-of-war games, and chasing her favorite ball. She’s like the Energizer Bunny and will keep going long after others are worn out! Once she’s done playing, Honey is a cuddle bug who loves to curl up with her people, though she’s also respectful enough to settle at your feet if you need space. She’s working on her training and already knows "Sit," "Down," and "Leave it." She responds well to positive reinforcement, especially if bacon treats or peanut butter are involved! Honey would do best in a home without cats, and she’s still a little cautious around other dogs. But with a little patience and some training, she has a lot of potential to be an even more wonderful companion. If you’re looking for an energetic, loving dog who will keep you on your toes and always be ready to play or cuddle, Honey could be the perfect match for you!
