My Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Who doesn't need a little 'HOPE' in their life?! This super sweet dog had a pretty loving family for the first 6 years of her life, but then they rehomed her back in September to a local farmer to become a 'cattle dog' for them because they said she always liked going outside, so they thought she may enjoy this new life. Turns out Hope just isn't interested in being a farm dog, but would rather just live happily as a spoiled inside dog. So Hope spent the last few months just living in the basement of the house, until the farmer gave up on converting her and asked Safe Haven to find her a better suited forever home. We aren't sure what Hope was like before September, but she is definitely shy now and seems to be startled by loud noises and quick motion - so we are working at giving her all the relaxing TLC she could ever want and hope there is a family out there that continue this and welcome her into their home. Since right now Hope is pretty fearful we feel like a nice quiet home may be best for her. She has been around other dogs and so far seems to be fine, but a meet-n-greet with any dogs in a potential new home will be required. Interested in adopting this pet?
