My Story

Name: Isul Age: 2 years (estimated) Sex: Female (Spayed) Weight: 11.6 kg (~25 lbs) Energy Level: Calm indoors, active and playful outdoors Foster Instagram: [https://www.instagram.com/dew.2seul?igsh=djQ4aHd5aWltczli] Rescue Story Isul’s resilience is a testament to her gentle spirit. Rescued from a kill shelter in South Korea, she was emaciated and weak from caring for her pups, which led to her being labeled as “too shy” and placed on the euthanasia list. Along with her two puppies, Isul was saved and given the opportunity to thrive. She’s now healthy and ready for a loving forever home where she can continue her journey of trust and happiness. Personality & Behavior With People: • Women: Isul is affectionate and approaches women comfortably, often seeking gentle pets and attention. • Men: She can be reserved initially, especially with men with deep voices, but with patience, she warms up quickly. Offering her treats or allowing her to approach at her own pace helps build trust. With Children: Isul is nervous around noisy or energetic children and may try to hide or escape in such situations. However, she is not aggressive and prefers calm, respectful interactions. With Other Dogs: Isul is highly social and adaptable with dogs of all sizes. She adjusts her play style to match her companions and thrives in environments with other dogs, like dog parks. She loves running, playing “crocodile games,” and friendly chasing. Occasionally, her enthusiasm may cause her to accidentally bump into smaller dogs, but she is gentle overall. With Cats & Other Animals:Indifferent to cats and other animals, but may follow or observe them out of curiosity. Training & Habits Home Behavior: • Isul has no separation anxiety and behaves well when left alone, though she may initially wander the house looking for her person. • She’s crate-trained and feels comfortable resting in a kennel. • Quiet and non-destructive indoors. Walking Skills: • Calm and well-behaved in quiet areas. • Struggles with loud city noises like buses or construction sounds, sometimes pulling on the leash to move away. Gentle reassurance and treats help her regain confidence. • In open spaces or dog parks, she is at her happiest, playing and interacting with other dogs for hours. Grooming: Isul enjoys baths, tolerates nail trims, and cooperates well with grooming sessions. While she doesn’t like toothbrushes, she does well with dental gel applied directly. Potty Training: Fully outdoor potty-trained. Isul does not use indoor pads and will hold it until she’s taken outside. Health & Diet Health Status: • No known medical issues. • Fully vaccinated and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives (NexGard Spectra on the 10th of each month). Diet: • Currently fed lamb and rice-based, gently cooked food. • She loves freeze-dried cheese treats and turkey chews but may hesitate to try new treats at first. Special Notes: Isul drinks plenty of water, so her new family should ensure constant access to fresh water. Daily Routine • Morning (8:30 AM): Wakes up, eats breakfast at 11:00 AM, and goes for a 30–40-minute walk. • Afternoon: Rests and enjoys quiet time. • Evening (8:00 PM): Enjoys her evening meal, followed by a longer walk or a visit to the dog park for 2–3 hours. • Bedtime: A short walk before bedtime ensures she’s ready to settle down for the night. Ideal Home Isul would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands her shy but affectionate nature. • Active Lifestyle: A family that enjoys outdoor activities like daily walks, trips to quiet parks, or regular dog park visits would suit her well. • Other Pets: She does well with friendly, calm dogs but can also be happy as a solo dog if given enough human attention. • Children: A household with older, dog-savvy children or no children is preferred. • Environment: Suburban or rural homes with less noise and bustle are ideal, as she can be nervous in noisy urban areas. Adoption Information Isul is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and up-to-date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She will fly to the U.S. once her forever family is found. • Adoption Fee: $650 (includes international transportation). • Trial Period: A two-week trial is included to ensure a successful match. • Required Items: Adopters must provide a Tractive GPS collar, Ruffwear Webmaster Harness, and martingale collar.
