My Story

Letter of Recommendation for: Ivy League From: Current Foster Parent Meet Ivy League, one of the silliest dogs to enter my home. She's about eight months old, weighs 40 pounds (and is gaining), and has blossomed into a rambunctious, vivacious, clumsy dog who is at the top of Santa's naughty list (and proud of it). Mastered Skills: Sleeps in her crate (with minimal protest) like a champ. Has a rough and tumble play style with other dogs. She's been very polite and gentle with my niece (4 y/o) and nephew (8 y/o). Licking dishes as we're trying to put them in the dishwasher (considers herself to be the Eco-Friendly Pre-Rinse Cycle). Snores softly and talks in her sleep. Does her own stunts (despite the fact that her limbs seem to operate independently of each other) When she wags her tail, she smacks herself in the face. She is a walking heating pad, weighted blanket, and professional sponge thief (I don't know where she keeps finding them and she won't snitch). Her life goal is to snooze on the couch next to someone while they watch movies, but also to find and hoard all the toys (and sponges). Developing Skills: Learning not to hide acorn in her bed Being brave when meeting new people How to climb - not fall - off the couch I cannot say enough good things about Ivy League; she comes out of her shell a little more each day, and it's been so rewarding (and hilarious) to witness firsthand.
