Introducing Jack!!
His story like so many pup's here in Texas starts off as a sad one. His 'owner' let him and his brother roam the streets. He hardly fed them and didn't care about them in the least. One day the neighbors saw his brother get hit by a car and they knew they had to take Jack to the shelter so he could have a chance at a better life. Eventually Jack ended up on the euthanasia list at the shelter. One of our volunteers went to meet him and it was instant love. He was the sweetest most loving boy and we knew we had to save him.
You would never know Jack had a sad past. He is the happiest pup around. He is very easy going and likes all dogs and kids. His current foster even has a very alpha male dog and he just leaves him alone as to not cause riffs. He is potty trained, leash trained, and kennel trained, but has earned the right to sleep on a dog bed at night because he never destroys anything. He loves going on walks and could spend hours watching the ducks waddle by.
Jack has the coolest brindle coat we have ever seen and his foster sibling asked if he is part tiger...and we can't be sure. He is estimated to be 1 year old and weighs a perfect medium sized 40lbs. We'd say he has a medium energy level. He is good hiking all day but also just as happy cuddling up on the couch for netflix and chill. A combo of both in his forever home would be great.
We can't wait to find Jack the perfect forever home. If you think that is with you please apply!
Jack is being fostered in Houston Texas but is available to transport many places across the country.
