My Story

Jack is a gentleman who's looking for a loving home with his mom, Laylabelle! These two were surrendered to the NYC ACC after their first family was evicted from their home, and while Layla was whisked off to get life-saving surgery, Jack was left in the shelter and watched his friends get adopted, while the person who was supposed to adopt Jack never came. Luckily for us, we heard that he was still there and were able to pull him instead, hoping that having a dog she knew would help Laylabelle settle and come out of her shell. And boy, did it! We're not 100% sure that Laylabelle is his mom, but based off their ages and how they reacted when they first saw each other again, that's our best guess. What we do know for sure is that these two have been basically inseparable since they've reunited and we couldn't be happier that they are able to be together again! And will hopefully never have to be separated again! These two are both super sweet and gentle but we are looking to place them into a home without any younger kids. We haven't cat tested them yet, but they would do great in a home with other dogs! If you'd like to see some videos of this adorable pair, you can check out our Facebook or Instagram accounts, where we were able to record their heartwarming reunion and you can hear Layla tell us all about how excited she is to have Jack back with her. And if you are interested in adopting this adorable duo, you can fill out an adoption application for them on our website, waywardranch.org!
