My Story

Jackie is a 4 month old, 24 lb female Retriever/Terrier mixed breed. Jackie is currently located in South Texas and will be transported to her new home. This spunky little girl with the velvety ears is Jackie. With her ears down, she looks like a "sad puppy dog," but with her ears up and alert, she gives Labrador Retriever vibes. She is a very sweet and friendly pup, but is also a protector of the home and her foster family, as well as her sibling Juliette. This brave little girl can be cautious with strangers initially, but one quick sniff and she is just another friendly puppy, asking for a belly rub. Jackie is more of a leader than Juliette, but both are very well-behaved and learning new things every day. Jackie knows to sit politely before meals, and is working on learning stay and down. She shares her foster home with two older dogs and likes trying to entice them into play, but responds well to their "back off, puppy!" body language. Jackie has spent most of her life fostered with cats so she is comfortable around them, though she is quite intrigued by the resident kitty. She has done very well with potty training and is almost fully trained (she loves that doggy door!) and is crate trained as well. She also likes to nap outdoors, soaking up that late summer sun and nibbling on any weeds she can find. She enjoys going on walks and would love the opportunity to go hiking or hit the beach! Jackie is looking for a loving home that will provide her with lots of love, guidance and plenty of toys - all a growing puppy needs! Our organization only adopts within the United States and Canada. Faith and Hope is an established rescue group based in Texas but delivers to multiple states on the East and West Coast. All dogs and cats are rescued from the state of Texas to be transported to Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and others, with placement in their adoptive family’s homes. Our $700 adoption fee includes all core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies) spay/neuter, microchip and transportation fees.
