Jasmine

Hi, I’m Jasmine, a 3-year-old, 70-pound Husky-mix with striking blue eyes. I am a loving and playful girl who likes to hang out with you throughout the day. I would thrive in a household with an active lifestyle because I’m always up for fun! I’m great to take to places like pet or hardware stores. No need to worry about me on the way there because I ride great in the car! I may pull on the leash at first but once I overcome my excitement, I walk close to you in a nice heel when we are in the store. I love playing with other dogs. My current foster sister will poke me with her nose so that I will chase after her. We run really fast across the whole backyard. It is so much fun! I would do best in a home that has a fenced in backyard so I can stretch my legs with some quick zoomies from time to time. I have been nose-to-nose with a cat and did well giving her some sniffs. But I got a little too excited seeing the kitty and my foster family fear I may have some prey drive or just be too rough trying to play with cats. Relaxing is another sport I’m great at. I love to cuddle on the couch with you when it’s time to take it easy. I will also compete with you in some midday snore offs if you are up for a nap competition. I am well behaved in the home. I don’t love being in a crate but will obediently go in if you say, “kennel up”. I am potty trained and don’t chew on things, so I don’t need a kennel if you don’t want to use one. I am very treat-motivated, which helps me learn tricks and cues. You might see me pace if I am anxious and will likely do so from time to time over the first few days in a new home. I will sometimes get a hold of your hand when trying to take a treat. But I will gently feel for your fingers and hold back from nipping you. I really am a rather gentle girl. I can try to slip out of the door so please be careful with this. I have strong recall which helps but you will want to be aware that I can be sneaky. The groomers also said I was a very well-behaved and cooperative girl. What can I say? I’m just a complete fetch! In my previous home, I was bullied by children. I am still good with children but should be paired with kiddos who have good pet manners: - Not pulling on my fur, ears or tail. - Not sitting or jumping on me. - Not blocking me into a corner where I may feel unsafe. - Not hitting or doing anything else that will hurt me. I am spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on preventatives. I’m healthy and weigh about 70 lbs. I’m looking for a wonderful family who will love me through and through.
