Say hello to Jaxson. Aussie Rescue of the Mid-Atlantic - ARMA is excited to accept applications for this handsome guy. Jaxson is 5 years old, he’s neutered, chipped and up to date on vaccinations. He's a big boy at 75 pounds, but he can probably lose a few- hard to tell will all his fluff!! He has a thick double coat, and it is soooo soft. Jaxson came to ARMA because his active young family makes him nervous to the point he cowers around the activity of children and runs into his crate. He is shy around new people at first but warms up after a few minutes. Jaxson LOVES to be outside and run around and do all things that dogs do. He knows all kinds of commands like sit, stay, come, spin, laydown, rollover, and a few more. He learned to touch a buzzer when one of the children was teaching him. He lets them know when he is out of water, and when he needs to go outside as he is fully potty trained. He loves playing ball and being outside. He pulls a little on the leash and he LOVES A LONG WALK with plenty of sniffing. He does not react to birds or squirrels he likes to stroll and sniff. He doesn't even mark when he is on a walk. Jaxson prefers his space at night and sleeps on a dog bed out in the living room. He is crate trained. He does bark at delivery people when they are outside but is ok when strangers are invited into the house. Jaxson lives with another dog, a golden, and a cat and there are no issues. He loves the neighbor's dogs and loves the dog park. He either likes a dog and wants to play or happy to walk on by a dog he isn't excited about. He loves riding in the car. Jaxson would do well in a quiet home, without children, but will love a dog and cat!
