Meet Jefferson, a handsome and gentle poodle with a big soul. This sweet boy, weighing in at a petite 12lbs, found himself at the Hobbs, NM animal shelter with a note explaining his previous owner could no longer care for him. Jefferson's journey hasn't been easy, but his spirit remains bright. He's partially deaf, but that doesn't stop him from enjoying all the good things in life. While his right eye has a misshapen pupil and some limited sight, his left eye is perfectly healthy, allowing him to see the world with love and curiosity. Jefferson adores going for walks, exploring the sights and smells of his surroundings. More than anything, he craves companionship and loves nothing more than snuggling up in your lap, quietly content just to be near his person. He's a loving and loyal companion who deserves a warm and loving home. He also loves to play with other canine friends. Could you be the one to give Jefferson the happily ever after he deserves? In Jefferson's case, he has not lived in a home with cats. PFR ADOPTION FEE: $500 (includes transport) All directly adopted dogs come vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered, if 6 months or older require a negative heartworm test, and up to date on flea & tick preventative and heartworm preventative if applicable.
