My Story

Jessie is a very energetic, rambunctious boy that is so happy and full of spunk and playfulness. Jessie was recently surrendered to us from the owner who decided they could not handle a puppy any longer. We took his 4 littermates back in December but unfortunately would not allow us to help Jessie until recently. All of his siblings have found a home already, so now its Jessies turn! Jessie is about 30 lbs currently and we believe he will be about 55 lbs full grown. Mom is a husky mix and we think dad is a shepherd. He was born around middle of October 2023. This boy is such a rugrat. He loves everyone and everything he meets. He is 100% pure innocent and gets super excited over anything. He would do wonderful with children, especially with some training on not getting too excited around them. He loves to run around and play with his toys. He is iffy on a leash as his former home never walked in, but he is slowly learning that a leash is safe and welcome. He is learning house training and it is a work in progress. With proper training and consistency, Jessie can master it. He is a very smart boy and very treat motivated. He does already know sit and is learning stay. Jessie would do amazing in medium to active households who want a dog they can take on adventures, hikes, car rides and that wants to play ball in the backyard. While he loves to play, he would happily cuddle with you if you let him. He would make a wonderful dog for the perfect family. All adoption fees include spay/neuter, current negative hw test if old enough, current age appropriate vaccines including rabies, parvo/distemper, lepto, bordatella, current heart worm and flea/tick preventions, lifetime registered microchip, 2 dewormers and transport costs from Texas to the East Coast. PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT: Www.ruraltank.org/adopt We process applications as first come, first serve so we suggest you fill out an application as soon as possible as we can receive quite a few per animal. If you submit an inquiry that questions something answered in this bio, we will not respond due to high volume of inquiries. ALL OF OUR ANIMALS ARE LOCATED IN SOUTH TEXAS. They are posted in areas where we transport to ONCE ADOPTED. 95% of our animals are pre adopted prior to transport, if you want to do a meet and greet with an animal in person we suggest going to a local shelter as we probably will not be able to offer that. Once approved though us, we will put you in contact with the foster family that has your animal to learn more about them! We transport every few weeks, TBD. Application turn around is usually about 1-3 days max, if not sooner. After you submit an application and want to send additional information or pictures of current animals/past ones in a separate email, we love that and it always helps your chances :)
