Meet Jessie! This sweet, six-month-old 25lb hound mix is bundle of joy who is ready to find her forever home! Jessie spent the early part of her life in a shelter, so she's still learning about the big, wide world around her. Since joining her foster home, she's discovered some of life's greatest pleasures, like lounging on the couch for a cozy nap, zooming around the yard with pure excitement, and realizing that not everyone is scary! She is also making great strides with her training! Jessie is working on crate training and does well overnight. She's progressing with house training too, and just needs to be taken out regularly to continue her success. Jessie is a playful and curious pup who is looking for a patient and understanding owner to help her build confidence and learn her manners. We prefer a fenced in yard since she is still timid. She would also thrive in a home with a friendly, playful dog to show her the ropes and help her feel more at ease. Jessie is still a bit of a jumper and can nip when she's excited, so she would do best in a home without small children. While she hasn't been exposed to cats yet, her friendly nature suggests she could adapt with proper introductions.
