Jettie is in a foster home in San Antonio. She would love to travel to the PNW to a foster or adopter. Dear Santa, If I hear one more person singing that hippo for Christmas song when they see me, I mean really, I just don’t see it?!? Do you? ? And I can see so clearly now that I’ve had my cherry eye surgery. Being rescued has been an adventure. I spent several weeks in boarding, had surgery for cherry eye, got lost but was later found after an adventurous tour of Shavano Park where I met some friendly dogs and people. I’m ready to have some more thrilling adventures with a family of my own. Now, I am in a wonderful foster home where my Foster Mom says and I quote: “OMG, she’s the perfect pet! Doesn’t bark, is calm, no accidents, and loves to roughhouse with Birdie, the resident dog. She’d be a great fit for any household!” I am a very unique girl. A snowflake really. Only one version of me, the reluctant house hippo. I am a female 37-pound, 2-year-old Shar Pei, not a hippopotamus, but heck if that gets someone to adopt me, okay. Please bring me a home, a purple tutu, a toy bone, a Lambchop…..the toy kind not the meat, but heck throw in the meat kind too while you’re at it, and of course 2 turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree…now that’s a song. Jettie's adoption fee is $550 and includes her transport to the PNW, her vaccinations, microchip and spay.
