My Story

Meet Jetty, the 9lbs, lap-loving, fluffball you've been dreaming of! This pint-sized poodle mix was born late February/early March 2024, which means he's still has puppy energy for playtime, and endless supply of cuddles, and a heart full of love to share. Don't let his size fool you - Jetty's got a big personality! Need a lap warmer? He's got you covered. Prefer a foot warmer? He's on it! This little guy is so small, you will barely notice him snoozing during your Zoom meetings or happily chewing on a bone for hours without a fuss. Jetty's also super easy to walk and doesn't shed, making him the perfect low-maintenance (besides his grooming needs!), high-love companion. If you're looking for a little guy who's big on love, Jetty is ready to be your new best friend. Jetty will receive his last vaccine and will be neutered as part of his adoption fee. This dog is a Benefactor Puppy. His/her increased adoption fee will allow them to act as a benefactor to other dogs in our care that require special medical care and a better chance at adoption. PLEASE READ BELOW: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt **Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescue's approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information. 2024 Benefactor Adoption Fee Scale: Benefactor Puppies under 12 months - $550 Benefactor Dogs over 12 months - $450 *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match! For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq *Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as Pet Finder, and are no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
