Jolene is another product of the cruel business of backyard breeding for profit without any thought to the well-being of the dogs. This tiny 12Lbs Frenchie was the runt of her litter, born with multiple congenital defects that affect her mobility: curved spine, abnormal vertebrae, and deformed knees and back legs. She also likely has some underlying gi issues that were keeping her from being able to gain weight and was emaciated on intake. Despite the poor hand she was dealt, she's a happy sweet little girl who scurries around wagging her stumpy little tail and craves attention, and has been getting along with other small dogs. She's still a puppy at heart, only 18 months old and is looking for a special home to take on the challenges of loving and caring for her special needs and giving her the best quality of life possible for as long as possible. She's not in pain now, though she will likely have arthritis earlier in life than most dogs due to her comformation. She's not going to be a hiking partner unless she's in a stroller or backpack, but she does love her little walks around the grass and just hanging with her people.
