My Story

Meet Juniper of the tree litter, the little sprout who’s here to grow on you! Born around mid-September, this puppy is rooted in sweetness and branches out into pure silliness. Juniper’s got a natural talent for making friends—whether you’re a fellow pup, a cat, or a human, she’ll leaf you smiling. And when she’s not busy planting herself in your lap, she’s probably out on her next adventure, sniffing every inch of ground like a true forest explorer. She may be small now, but Juniper’s big on cuddles. Think of her as a cozy little sapling who curls up perfectly by your side after a full day of puppy play. And watch out—she has a knack for “sprouting up” in the funniest places, like inside your laundry basket or on top of that pile of leaves you just raked. This pup’s got bark and nibble, and she’ll happily tree-t you to her goofy antics daily. So if you’re looking to add a little evergreen joy to your life, Juniper’s here to plant some happiness in your heart! PLEASE READ BELOW: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt **Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, question, or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information. 2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals: Puppies under 12 months - $350 Dogs over 12 months - $250 *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match! For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq *Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as Pet Finder, and are no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
