KC is a sweet, social dog who walks well on leash, appears housetrained, and has done well making new dog friends at our shelter! She's attentive to her human friends and already knows a few cues! Named after the heart of the Midwest, KC is a 60-pound, 5-year-old sweetheart with all the charm and manners you'd expect from a Kansas City legend. She came to the APA as an owner surrender when her family faced financial hardships, but she's been showing her foster mom what an all-star companion she truly is for the past two months KC is potty trained, crate trained, and knows several cues-she's basically the Patrick Mahomes of good house manners! With her low-to-medium energy, she's happy to chill on the couch with her humans, but she's always game for a long walk or a chest scritching session. Her favorite plays? Curling into an adorably tiny fur ball for naps, parading her squeaky stuffies, and soaking up all the love from her favorite people. While she enjoyed playgroups at the shelter, KC's foster home is pet-free, and she's been thriving in her solo-star role. She gets a little anxious on the leash, so a home with a fenced yard or a family that can take her on quieter walks would be a winning setup. She might pull a bit when starting her walk but soon settles into a nice rhythm-just like a perfectly timed touchdown run! KC is sweet, affectionate, and ready to find her forever family.
