All dogs have age appropriate vaccines including Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies. All dogs are/will be spayed or neutered, and wormed for parasites. Older puppies and adults are tested for heartworms and treated if found to be positive. NovaStar is a 501C3 non-profit rescue that receives no monetary help from local, state or federal entities. All adoption fees go straight to our vets to help pay for the veterinary care and other expenses related to the care of all the dogs in the rescue. Other than adoption fees, NovaStar is financed exclusively by donations and an occasional grant Adoption fees vary by age/breed. Contact us about reduced adoption fees on dogs that have been long term rescue residents!! Transport is available from Arkansas with stops in Tennessee, Pennsylvania, NY, NJ, and Connecticut. Transport fee is $150. *** ALL FIELDS on application must be filled out. Incomplete applications will result in an automatic denial. Your current pets must be spayed/neutered and on heartworm preventative, verifiable by your vet. Please contact your vet's office and give permission for a NovaStar representative to speak with them.
