My Story

Meet Katie Bell the southern belle! Katie Bell is a fun-loving, 6-month-old pup whos ready to be your new best friend. Shes at the perfect age to learn all the tricks and training you want to teach her. We all love her easy-going personality and go-with-the-flow energy. On leash she is gentle, keeps a good pace and is happy to greet strangers if invited to. Plus she is affectionateshell happily curl up for a cuddle whenever youre around. Take a look at her chocolatey cuteness in action then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/NtwRbwS7gR8 When its time to relax, Katies calm and content hanging out with her people. But bring out a playmate, and shes all about the fun! She had a blast bouncing around with a similar aged puppy and was perfectly polite with an older, mellow dog, who wasnt in the mood to play. Katie would do great in a home with another dog to play with, as she loves having a buddy. Shes also shown she can live with a catshe wasnt too interested in our resident cat, Tom, but could warm up to gentle, playful interactions over time. Katies mix of chill and playful energy makes her a good fit for just about any home. Shes smart, eager to learn, and ready to settle in with a family wholl give her the love she deserves. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical caresuch as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic carecan lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesnt stop there! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
