My Story

AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER IS NOT AN APPLICATION! READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR INFORMATION HOW TO APPLY. Meet Katniss! Katniss is a 2 year old female shih tzu and she weighs about 10 pounds. Katniss arrived in rescue when her previous family could no longer care for her. Her foster mom says: Katniss is just sweet, sweet, sweet! She loves everyone she meets and only wants love and attention in return for her undying devotion. She always wants to be close to her people and will be your shadow for much of the day. As such, she is often underfoot and a home with senior humans or young children is not recommended. She also likes to sleep in bed at night, usually curled up by your feet. Katniss walks well on a leash. She can be a tad cautious at times but will get moving again with a little encouragement. She gets along well with other dogs although she does seem to prefer human company. Katniss is not a big barker and really only barks when you come home after being gone for a bit. She is housebroken on a schedule and rides nicely in the car. Katniss is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. Katniss is fostered in the Orlando area and her adoption donation is $450. If you are interested in applying to adopt Katniss, please visit www.floridalittledogrescue.com to read the adoption process and complete an application! Please note that emails simply asking "Is this dog available" will not be returned, as applications are worked in the order received and availability largely depends on when you apply:) Please also know we do not adopt out of state! Thank you!
