My Story

Name / Breed / Age: Kelly / American Pit Mix / ~7 years old Personality Traits: Snuggler, Constant Companion, Hugger, All-around Love Bug Likes / Dislikes: Loves to play and snuggle / Dislikes Thunder and Fireworks (they are scary!) Health and behavior history: Up to date on vaccines, and spayed. Kelly has been fully treated for Heartworm and a Mast Cell Tumor. Meet Kelly! She's a 7-year-old spayed female Pitty with the sweetest personality. Kelly is always happy and has a cheerful energy that's infectious. She's met dogs of all types, interacted with people of all ages, and even been around babies as young as 5 months. Kelly is fantastic in the houseshe's fully housebroken and never has accidents indoors. She also loves being outside, especially on sunny days, where she enjoys playing in the yard and going on walks. Kelly would thrive in a home with other dogs since she's used to having doggy friends around. When it comes to being kenneled, Kelly does best when she knows you're nearby. She prefers not to be kenneled when alone, as she feels more secure and safe when she has the freedom to find her own cozy spot. During storms or fireworks, Kelly might feel anxious, but she just wants to snuggle up close to you, whether on the couch or bed. Overall, Kelly is a loving, happy dog who would be a wonderful addition to a home that can provide her with the companionship and comfort she needs. **Kelly was Heartworm Positive and PIPs has completed her Heartworm treatment. Kelly needs to stay on Heartworm prevention and should be tested at minimum annually, or per your vet's recommendation.**
