My Story

I am a small but mighty 32lb, 2 year old, female Keeshond. The humans call me Kia (Key-ah) and I even come sometimes when they call me. I am up-to-date on shots, spayed, house trained, and on monthly preventatives to protect me from fleas, ticks and heartworm disease. I know how to sit when asked to do so. I am sweet with humans I trust.. At this point in my life, I do not like other dogs, they make me feel anxious so I growl or bark to tell them to stay away. I need a quiet home without small children or any other pets. I walk okay on a leash but I don’t like it very much. I need more practice because I get nervous and bark when I see another dog. I would prefer a fenced yard where I can run and play safely without other dogs around. I need a family willing to continue with my training to help build my confidence. I love to be close to the human I love. I give sweet kisses and love attention and affection. I am a needy little girl when it comes to attention and affection but if you are willing to put in the effort to continue building my confidence, I will reward you with my trust and love. My foster family says that I am very easy to love. If you think I might be the right little girl for you, please visit floridakeeshondrescue.com and submit your application form. Wags, Kia ?.
