Hey there, future family! I’m Kinsley, a spunky black Labrador Retriever weighing in at a lean, mean 45 pounds. Born around August 2023, I’m still a young pup with a whole lot of energy – and I mean a LOT! So, here’s my story: I was found out wandering around, but hey, I was just exploring! A good samaritan scooped me up and brought me to this awesome shelter where I’ve been living my best life. The humans here posted about me on social media, thinking someone must be missing their sweet girl, but no one came forward. So now, I’m on the hunt for my forever family! To describe me in a few words: energetic, full of energy, and did I mention energetic? I’m a total goofball and a bit clumsy, always making everyone laugh with my derpy antics. I’m young and will need someone with time and patience to teach me all the doggy basics. Walking me on a leash is an adventure in itself. I don’t think I’d ever seen a leash before coming here, so I’m still learning the ropes. I get super excited when I see humans and am learning what “off” means because I do love to jump in my excitement. But don’t worry, I’m very treat-motivated and with some time and consistency, I’ll get the hang of it. Bless my heart, I try so hard to keep a clean kennel, but I’m still working on housetraining. During the day, I do pretty well with regular walks from the staff and volunteers, but nights are still a bit of a struggle. Most of my mess during the day comes from playing with my water bowl – it’s just so much fun! I would do great with an active family who can help me burn off some of this energy and give me some mental enrichment during downtime. Puzzle toys, snuffle mats, lick mats, or even just boxes with treats hidden inside – I’m not picky, the simplest things make me happy! Humans are the coolest in my eyes, and whoever is lucky enough to take me home is going to get one loyal girl to spend many fun years with. So, what do you say? Ready to add a little Kinsley chaos to your life? Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $17, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
